When we turned to monsters
Old mother nature came tearing-down
every strongest link and left it
completely unrecognizable.
A wind once seen as one
that should go on to be welcomed.
Suddenly turning it's back
and leaving it's force to now being questioned.

With the tables turned
the fierce energy of the bitter cold
now appears overwhelmingly dominant.
Weary souls are forced to take cover
from their now very angry opponent.
Hunkering down in hopes
to be the very own force to be reckoned with.

Not the one that fell short in the end
as the bitter wind blows with a force
that is so intense and precise
it can't possibly be missed.
Mother natures very own way
of reminding us who still has the upper hand.
That life should never be taken for granted
so don't walk around with your head
buried in the sand
