The invisible
Woke up early in her shelter today
She brushed her teeth
then rushed to church
Keeping her Sabbath holy
And threw her twenty Bob coin in.
And creeping out before the end
Maybe she needed to steal
A minute or two from Him
Outside the church
After the narrow hallway
she saw a blonde male,
His eyes Dark red
sat on the crushed wall
crying.
Not loudly
But written on his face
Local children clustered
It's a rainy season
So there is mud to mold
She stopped and dipped
into her purse again.
He gently palmed away
the gesture.
No words
