Choices

Months ago when I first 
saw the smile on your face,
I instantly got drawn in and 
my heart began to race.
Standing from afar I watched 
you closely as I took it all in.

Admiring who you were and 
not knowing of just what it really was 
that was about to begin.
Sitting here so many moons later 
and now knowing the truth,
I wish I could go back and hit 
rewind so I could have looked 
closer to have found the proof.

I often wonder if the facts weren't 
right there in front of me all along.
Was I really just a fool or did you 
just sing to a different song?
