The Next Life Chapter

I am completely real and I 
am always faithful.
As for what I have got 
I am truly thankful 

Where I'm at is not 
where I expected.
But it's my life so that's 
what I have accepted.

Changes to be had 
to make it better.
Even as I spell out each 
and every letter.

You are as good as you 
allow yourself to be.
Where it stands right now 
is just so not me.

Handed a few bad cards 
out of the deck.
Just enough to make me 
come to my senses and 
get my life in check.

As the stories written 
and to be continued.
While leaving behind old habits 
that need to be discontinued.

Here's is to the very 
next life chapter.
Moving on so it's no longer 
living a life of disaster.
